TB300 FACT SHEET

What is the TB300?

The TB300 is a specialized configuration of the current TollBridge TB200 Gateway. The new TB300 is a carrier-grade, NEBS-certified IP Telephony Gateway specifically designed for cable networks and contains three new main state-of-the-art components:

  • Spana hotelThe TollBridge NCS Call Agent
  • Voice III modules
  • Gigabit Ethernet modules

All these items are individual modules that can be ordered separately.

How is the TB300 configured?

The TB300 is typically configured as follows:

  • Chassis
  • N x Voice III Modules
  • N x Quad T1 or Quad E1 Interface
  • Power Supply(s)
  • Administration Modules
  • Switch/Switch II Modules
  • Gigabit Ethernet Interface
  • alberghi a LeuvenBase System Software-3.X (supporting Voice III and GigE)
  • NCS/GR-303 or NCS/V5.2 software application (with softswitch call agent)

What is the difference between the TB200 and TB300?

The TB 300 is a configuration of the TB 200 aimed at the Cable/MSO PSTN Gateway market and application. The TB300 includes the TollBridge NCS/call agent, Voice III card and Gigabit Ethernet card. The TB 300 includes the TB 200 as its base chassis with the configuration shown above.

Why was the TB300 created?

The TB300 is a configuration of the current TB200 IP Voice Gateway that seamlessly bridges the gap between DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) cable networks and the existing phone network to deliver voice services to cable customers. The introduction of the TB300 marks an expanded focus by TollBridge on providing new products and services to cost effectively accelerate the deployment of voice and enhanced services to subscribers worldwide.

When will the TB300 be deployable?

The TB300 is deployable today within existing cable network infrastructures and will provide significant revenue and profit opportunities for cable MSOs.

What new features and benefits can I expect from the TB300?

  • Embedded Call Agent.cheap hotels in Stavanger The new TB300 features an embedded call agent that allows equipment installed at the customer location to connect to the TB300 just as it would if it were a standard telephone attached to the original circuit switched network. This call agent performs the call management function of a softswitch.

  • New Voice III Module. An IP-based voice processing card will deliver high densities and increased capacity and speed. The introduction of the Voice III module targets the latest signaling standards including NCS, MGCP and IP BLES and VMoA. The voice processing card delivers the highest available densities for voice-over-IP deployment with the TB300 and TB200 Gateways for cable, DSL, fixed wireless, T1 and ATM broadband access media. Voice III module density ratings of over 8,000 lines for BLES, MGCP and NCS protocols are supported.

  • Redundant Gigabit Ethernet Interface. A Gigabit Ethernet (Gig-E) interface module addition to the TB300 will allow broadband service providers such as MSOs to take advantage of the low-cost and high-speed of Ethernet to deliver voice and data services to their customers.

Is the TB300 Interoperable with Cable Networks today?

The new TB300 interoperates with leading PacketCable DOCSIS 1.1 compatible Multimedia Terminal Adapter (MTA) and Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) vendors, reducing technology risks in deployment. In addition, the TB300 supports the PacketCable NCS 1.0 standard.

Will the TB300 work with future pure IP networks?

The TB300 was designed as a future-proof VoIP platform that will protect current infrastructure investments today while providing a migration path for end-end VoIP networks tomorrow.
