Network Equipment Building Standards (NEBS) are performance, quality, environmental, and safety requirement levels defined by Telcordia for the telecommunications industry. Conformance to these requirements ensures that equipment is durable and will operate safely in a telephone network under worst-case conditions. NEBS Level III is the most stringent of these requirement levels.
