TOLLBRIDGE TECHNOLOGIES SECURES FUNDING TO FURTHER GROWTH IN CABLE TELEPHONY MARKET
Santa Clara, Calif. - June 13, 2001 - TollBridge Technologies, a leading developer of voice over broadband solutions, announced today that it has closed its fourth round of venture funding of $22 million, bringing the total capital raised by the company to date to $85 million. Investors include Matrix Partners, Meritech Capital Partners, Sutter Hill Ventures, TeleSoft Partners and WorldView Technology Partners. "TollBridge's products make it possible for cable operators and local exchange carriers (LECs) to quickly add profitable new voice service revenues using the existing telephony infrastructure," said John Boyle, general partner at WorldView Technology Partners. "We believe there are excellent opportunities in the small office and residential customer markets. TollBridge has the products and partnerships to expand its leadership position with the carriers serving these customers on both today's and the next generation converged networks." More than 40,000 phone lines in active service use TollBridge technology to handle their voice needs.
