TOLLBRIDGE CABLENET® DEMONSTRATION HIGHLIGHTS BROAD AVAILABILITY OF CABLE TELEPHONY SOLUTIONS AT THE WESTERN CABLE SHOW Leading Broadband IP Telephony Provider Demonstrates Interoperability With Industry Standard Solutions The Western Show TollBridge Location: Hall D, Booth #2013 ANAHEIM, Calif., Western Show (November 27, 2001) - TollBridge Technologies, the premier IP telephony gateway supplier for multiple systems cable operators (MSOs) worldwide, will participate in a live demonstration of cable telephony as part of the annual CableNET® Interoperability Demo Showcase (Booth 1045) at the Western Cable show. TollBridge will be demonstrating its flagship product, the TB300 Voice Gateway, showing multivendor interoperability in a live cable network. The CableNET exhibit, sponsored by CableLabs® and the California Cable Television Association (CCTA), features more than 60 companies demonstrating new technologies, products and services for the cable television industry. TollBridge has been an active participant in ongoing work with CableLabs to help define the PacketCable(TM) architecture, designed to provide voice and other services to cable customers. At CableNET, TollBridge will be demonstrating interoperability with other VoIP products that meet the CableLabs LCS technical specification. "This is an exciting time for the cable industry now that voice over cable solutions are broadly available," said Kevin Woods, TollBridge vice president of marketing. "Since the potential revenue per subscriber for voice services is more than twice as much as other cable services like video-on-demand, the business case for MSOs is very compelling. This demonstration will give MSOs confidence that there is a wide range of interoperable products to choose from as they continue their voice roll-outs." The TollBridge TB300 is the industry's most commonly deployed VoIP access gateway with over 40,000 paying subscribers in service. The TB300's unique approach allows VoIP to be deployed to the subscriber today while utilizing the robustness of the established PSTN to deliver a carrier-class voice service. Following CableLabs' LCS specification and IPDT architecture, the TB300 migrates easily to softswitching without forklift upgrades. The TB300 is a modular platform supporting well over 1,200 simultaneous DSOs with no single point of failure and 99.999% measured reliability in service.
