Schultz, with a track record of nearly 20 years in high-tech sales, will be responsible for leading TollBridge's sales strategy and will report to President and CEO Gary Tauss. TollBridge is adding talent to its strong existing team as the company deploys its IP-based multi-line voice solutions in response to market demand for toll-quality voice and integrated data services. "Art has the ideal skills and experience to lead the TollBridge sales organization," said Tauss. "He has strong relationships with our carrier customer base and has been selling into that market for many years. In addition to a proven track record for closing very large sales, he has excellent sales-team and channel-development experience. And he understands the nuances of selling integrated voice/data solutions." "TollBridge's timing to the competitive carrier market is perfect," said Schultz. "The company's voice and data solutions are cost-effective and superior - far better than any of the competition I've seen. These elements pave the way for widespread deployment, both domestically and internationally." Prior to joining TollBridge, Schultz served as vice president of national sales at Premisys, where he trained the sales force to compete within the competitive carrier markets. In addition to development and closure of a multi-million dollar OEM opportunity, he increased revenues by 100 percent in 1998. Earlier, Schultz was vice president of sales at Carrier Access Corporation. There, he redirected the company's sales from CPE to selling directly to the competitive carriers, increasing revenues from $4.5 million in 1996, to a run rate of $30 million in 1998. As vice president of sales at Republic Telcom/Netrix Telcom, Schultz increased sales by 135 percent in one year. He has also held sales management positions with Timeplex, Case Communications, General Datacomm, and other companies. Schultz completed business administration and accounting studies at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
