For a software company with a product line for highly specialized technical users, based on a Unix platform, Kushner & Associates studied interfaces across products for usability, and guided the design of a new addition to the line.
Develop local interface style guide
Kushner & Associates developed a style guide for all the developers in a software company, to ensure an appropriately consistent look-and-feel across products.
Usability test design
For the Israeli-based subsidiary of a US parent company, Kushner & Associates designed usability tests to be performed abroad.
Documentation usability review
For a software product start-up, Kushner & Associates evaluated their Beta version documentation for readability and usability. Results included revision of terminology within the products interface.
For a software product company with a PC-based product line, Kushner & Associates designed a context-sensitive Windows 95 Help system.
Research project
In collaboration with academic specialists, Kushner & Associates are preparing a study of development organizations of various sizes, in various countries, to determine the organizational factors that most influence product usability.
