Selections and Placements

Registered WEPs will request TA II for graduates holding a particular degree/area of study which best suits them. In keeping with the type of request and the number of trainees required, TA II will, through a computer-based randomised selection process, pick graduates from the oriented pool and forward a list of graduates (on a 1:5 ratio - one vacancy, 5 graduates) to be called for an interview/discussion.

Three interview opportunities will be provided for each graduate. The next interview opportunity will be given only once graduates who meet similar requirements are given three interview opportunities.

The WEPs will then select the best among the candidates after completing the interview formalities adopted by respective WEPs. They will offer a letter of employment to the graduate with a six months probation and a minimum remuneration of Rs. 6,000 in keeping with the labour laws of the country. The placed graduates then take the personal responsibility to perform to the satisfaction of the WEP to be considered for continuous employment and also to qualify for any benefits offered by specific WEP.

During the period of probation the WEP has the opportunity of training and moulding the graduates to suit the requirements of the organisation.

WEP will notify TA II of such appointments by forwarding a copy of the letter of appointment and TA II will take necessary steps to formalise such placement under the program.

In case a graduate decides to leave the placement, the WEP shall conduct an exit interview and forward the details to TA II for recording purposes.
