Rules

1. Entries must be postmarked

2. Each entry must be accompanied by the appropriate handling fee. Handling fees are non-refundable. Fees cover registration, notification that your entry has been received, and notification of results. These fees may be paid by check, made payable to CineCom, or credit card (VISA or MasterCard).

3. For all entries outside the U.S., international check or money orders are accepted. The check or money order must be drawn on U.S. correspondent banks only (in U.S. dollars). We do not accept international bank transfers.

4. Entry forms and payments sent by mail or fax will not be processed without an accompanying tape. Tapes will not be considered for the competition unless accompanied by required entry forms and fees.

5. Submit one (1) complete entry form and one (1) copy of your production for each category entered along with the appropriate fee. Each entry must be on a separate videotape or disc. A separate entry form must be submitted for each item. The entry form may be copied.

6. Submission in Category 61 Web Based Productions requires one (1) complete entry form for each web based production entered. Website URL information is required in Section 4 of entry form. No media (tape or disc required).

7. The cost of shipping an entry (to CineCom) must be paid by the entrant. Collect or COD shipments will not be accepted.

8. All international entries must be sent “Free Domicile” to the CineCom office with all transportation charges, duties, and taxes pre-paid by the shipper/entrant. Any brokerage fees charged to CineCom will be billed back to the shipper. Please be sure to include all the required customs documentation as required by your shipping service.

9. Entrant’s name, title of production, and category number must be on each case, videotape, disc or web URL supplied.

hotels in Bruges10. Entry materials remain the property of CineCom and will not be returned unless accompanied by an additional fee at the time of entry. The fee for return of domestic entries is $15.00 and the fee for return of international entries is $30.00. (Be sure and mark the appropriate box in section 4 on entry form.)

11. Entrants are encouraged to include any additional information (press kits, publicity stills, etc.) with the entry form. Additional materials cannot be returned.

12. CineCom is not responsible for incorrect wording in publications or on awards if the entry form is incorrect or illegible.

13. Every reasonable effort will be made to protect entry materials, but neither CineCom nor its management or jury can assume liability for damage or loss.

hotel reviews Budardalur14. Any exceptions to the competition’s regulations must be authorized by the CineCom Entry Coordinator.

Eligibility

1. Productions produced in 2002, 2003 & 2004 are eligible.

2. Productions can be shot on any film or video format. For web based production entries, only a Website URL will need to be supplied ( see entry form section 4).

For preview and judging purposes the following formats are accepted: NTSC or PAL Betacam SP, 1/2” NTSC or PAL VHS (NTSC preferred format) and DVD NTSC (region 0 or 1). Please do not send originals, film prints, master tapes, etc.

3. Entries may be submitted by the director, the producer, or client. In categories of Special Achievement, a crew member who worked on the production may be the entrant.

4. The entrant confirms and warrants required legal authority to submit the entry into competition and to use all music, images and content in the entry. Entrant will allow usage of clips from the entry for promotional use on television, radio, and in print.

5. Entries may be displayed, shown, duplicated or disposed of as CineCom deems appropriate. By entering, the entrant agrees to hold CineCom harmless for any costs or expenses of any claim arising out of any such use by CineCom.

five star hotel in Thessaloniki6. Productions in any language, or nation are accepted for entry. All entries compete in the same categories regardless of language. Productions not produced in the English language must be overdubbed in English or contain English subtitles or submitted with a detailed printed translation. Non-English entries submitted without subtitles, dubs or printed translation will be automatically disqualified.

 

 

Awards

In each category, the following prizes may be awarded:

• A grand prize “Best of Show” Award will be given to the most outstanding entry in the festival.

• A “CineCom” Award will be awarded to the best production in each category.

• Certificates will be awarded to those productions that merit recognition.
