1 After this I looked and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

We have been created for God’s pleasure!

God listens to the prisoner. God looses those that are destined to die.

God is on the throne of the universe. Jesus Christ is seated at God’s right hand. The Holy Spirit of God is with us here on planet earth observing everything that’s going on with men, not only their outward appearance, but He observes the innermost workings of the heart. He knows everything. And because He knows everything, God the Father knows everything.

There’s another thing we ought to be aware of. The angels are the eyes of the Lord. They are coming and going constantly. They also know everything about us, and they communicate everything to God.

And, one more thing...the devil knows an awful lot about us, too. He doesn’t know everything, but his job description is such that he constantly, like every day, snitches on us. He squeals. He tells on us all the time. He, night and day, accuses us before the Father. And, knowing the devil, we know that he embellishes everything to a demonic frenzy!

What I’m saying is, God knows everything, because of the Holy Spirit, the angels, and the devil himself. So, if we’re here on planet earth for God’s pleasure, and we do things that are off-color, off-key, or off-sides, we’re not doing all that much to please God. Would you agree?

Just the thought of God knowing everything we do, everything we say, day or night, ought to make us think twice before we do or say something stupid. Life is so short. This life is so intense, and sometimes, many times, down-right stressful. We desperately need the grace of God from the Blessed Holy Spirit to help us!
